I have recently tried to install sympoll a PHP poll script. When it tries to run the setup I get this error several times:

Warning: Failed opening '/www/n/novaman/htdocs/polls/admin/classes/poll.php' for inclusion (include_path='') in /www/n/novaman/htdocs/polls/admin/index.php on line 22

I have tried several times to manually change the file with no luck.

Any help would be aprreciated.

Here is more on the error:
When i try to setup sympoll i get this error -

setup failed: connected but unable to access database

Reply from sympoll developer:

This error means that it was able to connect to the database server (the server address, username, and password are correct) but it did not have access to select the database that you specified in "database name". Are you sure you changed the value to the name of your database?

Name of my database? Not sure what they mean.

Thanks Brett

Provided you intend to use MySQL - it is an 'addition' to the many 'included' services offered by PowWeb.

One time setup fee of $30US

You are assigned a database 'name' which is your 'userid'.

Hi Brett,

I am unfamiliar with 'sympoll'.

Perhaps I missunderstood your previous question.

IF you are looking for your database 'name', it is your 'userid' with powweb.

Does this help?
