I keep checking the PowWeb Announcements and no nothing - it would be nice if you would take the time and post whats going on - as you always preach that you will put an update asap in the PowWeb Announcements area.

It would be nice as then we would all know that you are aware of the problems.

Still Waiting For It......

This might make people (Your Paying Customers) more at ease.......

And yes I did email support@powweb.com a couple hours ago.

There will be an announcement later. Powweb admins are working on the problem. We will post in the Announcement forum when the issue is fully resolved.

Glad to see they are finally aware of the problem, as far I know its been down since 5am central time when I checked the site - who knows how long it was down before that.

I am going to have to get an online website checking service to monitor this.

Almost 6 hours later they are finally aware of the problems - does not seem right.

24/7 Email Support I know it says they have it but do they check it 24/7????

If they did they would be aware of the problems hours ago.

I see, so my site DIDN'T go down for bandwidth problems. It's just the server I see. Ok.....well that's better (imo cuz exceeded bandwidth would've REALLY been bad)

Unfortunately, PowWeb is using the Forum's Announcement Board for winging policy changes on the fly rather than keeping the membership informed on the technical state of the good ship Titanic, whoops I mean PowWeb.

Witness the two Starr Grams today when those of us who care were trying to restore service to our users. MySQL was having big time problems because PowWeb failed to anticipate supply and demand with the price change they had implemented - Econ 101. And the there is the revised, revised bandwidth policy change. Yet another example of PowWeb's indepth analysis of customer service needs. Will these kids ever learn?

Econ 102 lesson 1, you get what you pay for. Bottom line is, do not look for much of substance in Announcements, that is other than PowWeb's CYA's policy change announcements and pronouncements of technical competence, if these can possibly be substance.

You should be glad there's a forum at all. When I first signed up, there wasn't one.

Also, I have noticed that PowWeb has gotten a lot better at posting about server problems recently.

Some ppl rather point out the bad than the good.

Cest la vie. :)

Objectivity is what it should be all about. Good is 99.7% - that's what good is! I would like nothing more than to be given the justification to change my signature.
