quasar, Yeah? WHEN??????? They've been down for most of the night. Don't you have the Admins phone number so you can call him and wake his *** up? This is ridiculous.

My static pages are fine but anything that uses MySQL eventually gets a Gateway Timeout.

Server is Comet

I do wonder how that 99.7% uptime figure is calculated.

SQL on quasar.powweb.com Down

I have only had MySQL a few days. And it has had about 10 - 15% uptime. But the thing that really bothers me even more than that is I NEVER got a reply from techsupport. A simple "Yes thre is a problem and we are fixing it" would suffice. But there is nothin worse than being left in the dark

3.) YaBBSE based forum has worked perfectly since installed several weeks ago (that is, with the exception of the outage during and following the PowWeb relocation fiasco). No problems WHATSOEVER with mySQL until other servers started experiencing difficulties - and now it is Comet as well!

Enclosed is the error message generated by YaBBSE.

PLEASE get it fixed ASAP.

Problem same as the last 3 or 4 times will not connect.

Put our site on the same server as this forum - seems to be the only one that stays up - and that is really weird when all others seem to be having mysql problems.

Update,,,I have recieved confirmation the admins are aware of the problem.

Our network administrators are currently investigating the intermittent problems with MySQL on all of PowWeb's servers. We are aware of the problems and hope to have the sporadic lapses resolved shortly.

You can not be serious. Kindly tell your "network administrators" that my problem is far from intermittent or sporadic. Members are unable to access the Forum on my website - at all!

I submit that the attention the problem resolution is getting from your "network administrators" is intermittent and sporadic. Obviously your "network administrators" need technically competent assistance to fix the problem. When, PowWeb, are you going to provide it?

This is friggin ridiculous. I think there is a typo in the agreement that says powweb will be up 97% of the time... They meant to say, "Sometimes we're up, sometimes we're down, pay the 7 bux to take a chance."

Nice

Surely, [as in I can't believe it] Powweb doesn't have all the mySQL stuff on one server.

Why else would all the servers loose mySQL services?

Based on the debacle with Calisto, it could be disasterous.

Static html pages are easy to backup. Dynamic DBs are a differnent story.

I know I'm not taking any chances with these bozos...get a copy of sql studio (google it) and do a backup. The restoration is a breeze.

$495.00 a copy. I'm on PowWeb because I'm a low budget operation. Have I missed something?

Considering some of us use SQL driven pages more than HTML or CGI/Perl pages. Do we get some kind of compensation? You guys advertise like 97% uptime, but I have had about 20% uptime on quasar.powweb.com I have referred about 25 of my clients to PowWeb as well, and right now I am getting emails from a few of them asking whats up, and if I have the same problem. Boy, do I feel like an *** :(

phpMyadmin works well for MySQL administration and backup.
