'Lets get ready to Ruuuuummmmmmmbleeeeeeee'

In the red corner,we have Jgross,self-taught graphicker, believe to be the youngest on the boards. Also has a head on his shoulders so he'll fight to the end if need be.It's believe that he might be the top dog in this battle Jack. But in the end.we shall see.

In the blue corner,we have EGGO,A highly opinionated graphicker, also one of the youngest on the boards. He has a solid heart and a strong will to win.Its believed that he might be the underdog in this one Jack. But time will tell.

Ok,gentlemen.Step-up.
We want a 600 x 300 piece.Fire and lighting with a gritty look.

Ahh.. I think it should have a title to base the theme on along with those specifics.. something like 'Nature's beauty in the midst of chaos'

Welp.. seems as though the rules are set:

Size: 600x300
Specs: Fire and lighting with a gritty look
Titled: 'Nature's beauty in the midst of chaos'
Add-in: Should download in a reasonable time (for the folks on dial-up)
Use of no more than 1 stock photo (your own photo's or use of filters perfectly acceptable).

Leave it there & let's see what the wonder-kids (no offense) can come up with!

What do you mean by gritty look? Like something dark and grungy? I'd just want a quick example.

What parameters do the judging panel have to adhere to?

1. Complexity of the piece. - use of many techniques or programs
2. Use of colors - (do the colors work well together)
3. Artistic Originality - (not just some tutorials thrown together)
4. Did it capture the Theme -(does it convey the theme to the user)
5. Overall look and feel - does it look good
6. Try to be objective and not opinionated

You do a good job. Maybe I should read a few books too, instead of just bumbling around.

I hardly ever have a clear thought of what I'm about to do. I just fiddle until I see something I can hopefully turn into something acceptable :(
