View Full Version : A question about E-Commerce programs, help
Hey,
On my site www.novetec.org I want to add E-Commerce, I like how Powweb's set up for hosting is, and how secure it is, and was was wondering if any of you know any good software/downloads of some good E-Commerce, I'm using it for basically the same reason, so anything like that will be a great help!
Thanks!

Well heres what I have done....
I bought the program...
http://www.turnkeywebtools.com/
Goes in quick and fast. Takes less than 5 minutes and your rocking. You need SQL and SSL to use this store.
Now the store is for adding products now you need someone to process credit cards.....
I went with
http://www.merchantanywhere.com/
They charge $25.00 a month no matter if you sell ot not. Its the cheapest I found.
Now the store program allows me to take orders right away. also has pay pal built into and checks. When a customer makes and order it in forms with a quick email saying I have a sale.
I log onto my merchant and add the credit card information then wait 24 hours. When it clears I mail the product.
The store doesn't email the credit info. I have to log in using a secure server to get the information.
The store can also be configure to process the order automatically. The store programmer will do it for free.
The merchant account takes a week to get approved.... but after that your on your way.
Hope this helps.
Thanks, i'll look into that, any other suggestions?
What I want is not really a shopping cart, just a straight sign up for things such as hosting, with a preterminded price selection and a payment type, that's it really, not really a shopping cart, once again, thanks

You can then just do a simple form script (make sure you use SSL). Some free form scripts (sites below) can either email them to you (some security issues) and some can keep the info resident on your site...so it's all secure.

Good Luck :D
