I was going to complain about the dark text on the dark background being hard to read.

However, with your choice of rollover colors for the links, it makes it easy to know where the link is leading to.

The center text field does seem to be a bit over bright compared to the rest of the color scheme. It tends to draw the eye, which is good most of the time, but when a person is trying to navigate the menu the bright center tends to draw away from the rest of the page.

You might consider a bit lighter color than the rest of the site, instead of the bright white.

Layout looks good, a bit common, but there's a reason for that. It works - lol.

I would change the color scheme, especially since it looks like you will eventually have plenty of content for your visitors to read. White backgrounds and black text may seem boring, but I would recommend using those colors ~ cool grey is nice, but white keeps them reading yielding longer stays, and more likely repeat visits. Keep in mind some people are still stuck with stone age monitors...

I agree with jj on the contrast in your content table, maybe go with a darker blue and 'cool grey' coloured text if you stick with the current scheme ..
