Streaming Audio

Does anyone use streaming audio?

I have converted a song to an .rm file using Helix Producer Basic 9 -
then wrote the .ram file as follows

http://www.shroudedharlequins.com/test/test.rm

and this is the error I get:

RealMedia File Format: Invalid logical file header in file "test.rm". The file is unreadable.

So I think I am using Helix incorrectly, have never attempted streaming audio before, and it is starting to really get on my nerves.. If anyone knows what I am doing wrong - I will give you giant cyber HUGS :D thanks

I find RealAudio a Real PITA. It wants to hog your PC and take over anything remotely associated with sounds.

Window Media Audio is a far better way to stream, in my opinion - The sounds are much better at low quality Listen here (http://www.bad-hair-day.com/music.htm)

There are loads of programs that will convert to different formats, but I do like Audio Convert (http://www.rmbsoft.com/ac.asp) and you can try it before you buy it, if you wish :)

If I do use Window Media Audio - does it support Macintosh? If not - anyone know anything about QuickTime for streaming audio?

when you made your rm file did you use a .wav

as the source ?

if you used anything other than a

.wav .qt .avi .mov .au

it wont work

try this
