Why is my scanner doing this?

This is a new problem I never had =0/

Try this

-Check scanner connections (I recommend unplugging it, then replugging it back in)

-Still nothing? Uninstall-reinstall scanner software

-Still nothing? Check the scanner around for any oddities, try scanning something without the cover so you can see how it scans.

I'm pretty sure this is a hardware thing. And if it is, get it repaired or replaced (probably a lot cheaper to replace). If your friend has a scanner, I HIGHLY suggest having him bring it over to your computer and try scanning an image. If it's the same thing, it's your comp.

Ok i have had this trouble before.
the imaging unit is shot.
to buy a newone is more the the scanner is worth.
or at least the one i had was.
it has happend two times to me.
i have HP scanners
