Hello,

I have just transferred over to Powweb this last week or so, and decided my site needed a severe going over. Not quite done, but all the main portions are finished. Please review and give me feed back.

All the Graphics are my original design. How do you like the colors? I don't usually use oranges or yellows, but it just seems to fit together so well. I just went with it.

I plan to have the navigation redone in Flash, just haven't had the time to do something I like.

Thanks!

Awesome colors on the main page. The scrollbar colors are incredible. Reminded me of a good feeling I used to have when browsing gaming websites :) However, when there is scrollable content, make a black arrow in the scrollbar, it'll probably make it look nicer.

Ooops, I see what you mean. OK, I'll add that to my list of tweaks.

Thanks for the review!

So you have your own host? The hosting looks a lot like PowWeb's.

Yup all powweb, I looked at over 30 different web packages before going with Powweb. I have moved all three of my domains, and a couple of my clients are also interested.

My last host was very Rude! anytime I'd call or email a problem I'd either get ignored for three days on email or hung up on.

That and all three combined are 1/3 the cost with twice the space. Good value I think, and being down once in a bit is no problem with me. My site on the old server was down for almost three weeks, some tech dork tried installing Front Page when I asked to be move to NT. Took that long for them to get it straight and by that time I was already looking for options.

I don't sell the Hosting Service itself I only sell the design and setup, most my clients are not web savy. I will direct them first to Powweb and if they wish to go somewheres else, then I'll give other options.

Well designed, easy to navigate, purposeful content. What more is needed. The changes I might suggest are style points only. First I would provide more border space in your text display windows. Why, just because I'm use to seeing a text border. Next, I'd use some kind of lightly textured/paper as a text background. Each page, document/window, appears flat and some dimension would be proved by a lightly textured/paper background. I would tend to suggest a parchment color to tie with the yellows in you header and nav buttons rather than the #bca284/light brown now used. Perhaps something along the lines of #c7c6ac with a slightly smaller and somewhat stronger text.

Your forum design is perhaps more interesting than functional, perhaps the colors distract from the functionality, but I would not change it. Forget I said that. Your forum design is very interesting.

I plan on using fade out boarders for the edge of my "paper"... The "paper" will be a canvas effect with the light grid going through it.
Your plan sounds very interesting.

Thank you everyone!

I do plan on a bit "more" for the text to reside on, however I finished the layout way late and didn't have time to finialize it.

I plan on using fade out boarders for the edge of my "paper". simular to the way the orange bar appears behind my name.

it's about a ten+ stage process for each corner and sides, not including making the top, sides and bottom tilable (is that a word?).

The "paper" will be a canvas effect with the light grid going through it. Hopefully I'll be able to merge with the borders to create a seemless pattern. (can we say time consuming?)

All the colors used on the site including the forum are found in my main "front" image.

I do agree with you that the background for the text does need to be a bit lighter. The indents were supposed to be on every page, lol see what happens when you stay up to late.

Thanks for the reviews!
