I load my site up by ftp as frontpage seems to take away many controls I wilsh to keep.

After a week of uploading my site, I wanted to change a file. I uploaded a updated zip file, cuteFTP stated the uploaded file was of the new correct file size, but when I tried to download it I found the old version.
The only way I could rectify this was to delete all files on my site and upload the whole lot through frontpage.

Any ideas as to what i'm doing wrong?

TIA

(0) No, you're not an Eeejut. You're an Ant.

(1) Could be a bug in cuteFTP.

(2) Could be the new version *is* there and your browser cached it?

Just a guess, but perhaps your file's name was accidentally put into the wrong directory or the case was wrong. Rather than overwriting the original file, a new file was created. Your html (or whatever) would still have pointed to the original file, but your ftp would have been pointing to exactly the file it had just sent. Just a possibility.
