Hello, I'm designing a new logo for one of my clients, and would like your opinion on which one looks better. My client has finally given me free reign on his site. Yeah! This is to be the top banner of an ecommerce site. The general colors will be dark navy blue background texture, medium blue table headers plain, white table backgrounds (or pale blue), and pale blue lettering (almost white).

Here are the final ones, but I can't decide which "one" it should be. Just did them while at lunch... let me know what you think. I'm looking for a more "clean" design.

I like the 2nd one but since its for toys I'll go with the brighter which is #1.And you'll be able to see what it says from a distance...

I would say to brighten it up a bit. Blue is a calming color and is generally used for ecommerce sites. I would try to flash it up a bit make the user know that this is the place for die cast.

I would go with the 4th one because the others have backgrounds which appear to conflict with your page background. No 4 just looks 'cleaner' to me.

Thanks Everyone!

I've taken the "lighter" idea and converted it to this one.

then I'll use the same color as the lettering for the tables and the top border (goes under this logo. And use the grid for splashes of "design" with a plain old white background.

Any comment on this idea? It's the first big ecommerce site, I want this to launch next weekend. Which BTW - I've convinced him to move to Powweb. And he said he wants to add another 1000 or so products......Yeah!

gotta excuse me, a bit hyper today....

I can't use to much "big" design on the commerce page. Lots of images loading as it is. However I am thinking of a quick Flash intro for the "welcome" page. He dosen't want to lose the "here I am, here's what I'm about", when the visitor first comes to the site.

The buttons for the site will be flash or standard rollover. And there will be small ani's for "new" and "feature" etc.

right now there's only about 400 products to input this week, and to redo the graphics and "template" page. I already have the site structure up, did that this last weekend.
