PHP Forum Criticle Error----Mercury

Hi,

Last night my site went down & when it came back up my PHPBB Forum was gone. When I tried to load page, I got this:
phpBB: Criticle Error

Could not connect to the database

I am on murcury & heres url if you'd like to hAve a look

Anyone have *any* info on as to why this happened??

The MySQL Server on Mecury has been down all day (first message posted about it was at 8:13 AM EDT but it was apparently down well before that). That is why your forums are down.

I just reposted a message asking about this to this forum, since I thought maybe nobody was seeing it in the PHP/MySQL forum (which is usually for discussing programming issues, not server outages).

I also emailed tech support this morning and have not yet heard back from them.

So for over seven hours (and possibly much more), the MySQL server on Mercury has been down, and we haven't even been given an announcement saying they're aware of the problem.

PowWeb, could you address this issue?

Yup, I know it's down. I'm VERY mad at the moment & in fact looking for new RELIABLE host. I have more then one domain with powweb & was just in process of opening new one this morning when my site went down. The problems powweb has are not good for my business, I NEED reliable hosting, AND on top of that, thier SUPPORT literly sucks.........except those that are kind enough to help you here in the forums.

It seems ever since they took the big leap last month & moved to a MORE reliable server they have had more probs then I care to deal with.

I HOPE you get yours up & running soon, but don't count on it & certainly don't count on them replying to your email until the issue is well solved!!
