We've removed the link to our site since we no longer need input. Thanks!

That comic strip is so true.I fell victim to something like that.......

As for the site..I see its personal.I like the way its flowing from the intro and all..Did you all really meet online?Your new house looks lovely.Any rooms for rent :)

Even though tables are a turnoff these days. You made good use of it.I like this personal site...I dont think you can color that scrollbar since you use frames. But it'll be nice if you can......

Nice flow with your site....I like it...Thumbs up......

Thanks for the kind comments! It's my first site I've ever put together and I think it came out pretty well. It's mostly for friends and family to enjoy, but I've tried to make it look as nice as possible. I guess the long hours have paid off.

Take it easy!

Mike,

Love your site, it has to be one of the nicest looking personal sites that I've seen in some time.

Only have one thing to point out to you. Have you checked your site using 800x600 resolution? If you do, you'll see that the menu only displays down to the "Play Game" and the photo's do not display 100% in height. Maybe you know that all of your friends and family use larger resolutions and would have no problem. But if not, it would be nice to make sure that everyone could view such a nice site.

My wife and I made a conscious decision to go with the 1024x768 format because most of our friends and family use that resolution already. Since we don't expect visitors other than those we know we figured it wasn't going to be a big issue. We didn't like how the site looked when we had it work with the smaller resolution anyhow. The fonts had to be smaller on the buttons so the older folks had a hard time reading them. It just seems to work best as it is now.

Also, we've recently added password security to our site. We don'e have anything too personal on their, but my wife feels better now.

Thanks again for everyone's input!

same thing with me...your authorization is required...
truthfully, when i clicked on the link i thought it was a big joke...you had a personal website and put it in the crtique area...you might want to check that out....it sounds lovely, too...;)

Sorry about the password requirement. We added that after asking for input on the site design. My wife just felt better having only friends and family have access to our site since it does has some personal info.

Thanks for trying to check it out anyway!

He didn't have the pw protection originally. I saw the site and it looks good. But after he got the general consensus of how it looks, they pw protected for only family members. There is no way to delete a forum unless you're a moderator. But then people keep making comments about how they can't get in without reading the entire forum "conversation line" about what he has done. I swear this goes back the Forum I started in Open Discussions.

Sorry for the confusion folks. As was stated long ago in a previous post we added password security to the site after receiving input from others. I'll go back and edit the original post and remove the link.

Thanks!

Mike -- you probably ought to remove it from your profile, too -- it shows up on the "WWW" button on every post you make.

Could I make a suggestion? Perhaps you should both have a "public" and a "private" section.

Make your "public" section open to the world and be selective about what you put there... but explain that it's very generic and give a contact point (some disposable email address) that folks can get in touch with you if they wish access to your "private" section. Then, put anything that you and your wife are uncomfortable with in your "private" (i.e., passworded) section.

Just my tuppence.
