Is your forum not working or your mail functions with forum not working? The reason I ask it that my forum works on callisto, the problem I'm having it that when I send mail from forum I get 500 error.

Alphadesk. I am getting the Same 500 error on my site which is on comet.powweb.com
I onyl get it in my forums when I submit a private message or submit a post. The post shows up, and the PM gets sent, but I get a 500 error when I do submit.

Ahhh, I'm not the only one having this issue then. What's going on with the mail functionality on your servers powweb??? I was working fine until 12 AM EST last night and now anytime someone replies to a post that someone has email notification turned on in, they get a 500 internal server error. This is happening to me as well. It also happens if I try to email a member through my forums. How about some communication here.............!!!!!!!

BTW, I'm on lunar.powweb.com

EDIT: Just reread AlphaDesks post. On my forum it is only the mail function that is having the problem. The posts go through, but email notification is crapping out and giving the 500 error. What's the deal??????

Here's what I get so far.
In my Error log

[Thu Oct 24 08:12:57 2002] [error] [client 24.123.20.117] Malformed header: /www/r/rvredviper/dead.letter... Saved message in /www/r/rvredviper/dead.letter

This happens everytime I try to Post a Private Message, which also send's mail. Posting in my forum topics seems to be working fine.

The 500 error is popping 5 seconds after I click the submit button.

In that dead.letter file are all the emaisl the Forum is supposed to send when you post a new Private message. But of course, it is not.

Looks like powweb's got some sendmail not working now.

When will it end?

dead.letter is what happens when an email sent from your site bounces. I.e.: a bad addresses being sent by your form mailers script.
I kicked it to support, I'm sure they will check it out.

I have the exact same problem on meteor.

Here is a workaround,
I went into admin on my ikonboard and removed the s from sbin.
The forum now works with no 500 messages, but all mail goes to dead.letter.

At least my members can post.

By the way alphadesk the sub domain you helped me with has also stopped functioning. Worked perfectly before.
