ftp user accounts

I have a big problem. I am letting a friend use some of my web space until his host returns. I gave him his own ftp account and everything is uploaded but now I dont know what his adress should be. I tried adding his user name to the end of my current address with the index.html but to no avail.

What was the folder you uploded his files to ?
If it is a folder in the /htdocs the adress would be http://yourdomain.com/folder

Yes, when you open an FTP account you specify the directory that the account has access to. If this directory does not exist, I believe you must create it yourself.

thanks people. i realized what i did. when i entered a name for the person's ftp directory, i set it so it was placed in root (aka- /guestftp) instead of /htdocs/guestftp. therefore, none of the stuff was working. thanx for the help, and letting me take a closer look. =)
