View Full Version : Billing
What is the process for renewing an account? I did not pay by credit card, so you can't automatically charge me. Should I just mail another money order? If so, what information do you need, and how far in advance should I mail it? Or, will PowWeb bill me?
Thanks
- Jeff
P.S. I'd put this on the Billing forum, but it seem to have disappeared
Hi,
This is the standard procedure for renewal.
We will send you a renewal notice 15 days before your renewal date. It will include the address where you can mail us the funds.
It is best that the funds arrive before or on your renewal date to prevent any downtime to your site.
However, if you want to send us the funds before the notice, please send it to the following address:
2168 S. Atlantic Blvd., Suite 232
Monterey Park, CA 91754
United States of America
Please include your domain name on the check/money order.
If you want to use a credit card this time, please follow below steps to add a valid credit card.
1) login to OPS (http://ops.powweb.com)
2) Billing Tab (top of page)
3) Pay Methods (top of page)
4) Add credit card (bottom of page)
5) Make Payment (right hand side)
Thanks for your reply winnie.
If I wait until I recieve your notice then I mail another money order in a couple of days, will it be processed in time so that there is no website downtime?

If your mail service is anything like mine, I wouldn't relie on it getting there in time !
Hi Jeff321,
This all depends on the mail service that you are using. However, we do give renewals a 7 days grace period. As long as we receive your funds within 7 days after your renewal date, you will not experience any downtime.
Champaign, isn't that where Illinois State University is? I was just near there this weekend :) Mail isn't too bad, but the U.S.P.S. has been slow for everybody recently it seems.
BTW: I'm actually in Tinley Park, IL, a suburb of Chicago.
Thanks Winnie, that helps :)
