View Full Version : Webalizer Statistics
Okay, complete newbie question here. Yesterday, I enabled the webstats but am unsure how to access them now that they show up and running.
On my other sites they are just in a folder labeled stats with a page for each month. (different webhost, this was before I found powweb)
Is this just a matter of a day or two before they are truly activated? Or am I looking in the wrong place? I see nothing in the directories that even look like they could be the stats page(s).
Hi Suzyjax
I am fairly new myself, but should be able to help. Just double checking, but you said you do have Webstats enabled in your ops? Did you also turn on Access Logging? It will say Custom Logging "on".
With both of those on, you will see the webstat.conf file inside the "etc" directory and there should be a "webstats" folder inside the "htdocs" directory on your site.
To access the webstats feature use your browser and enter www.yourdomain.com/webstats. If it is operational it should come up in the window. To decipher what it means, click the link on the bottom left corner of the page to go to the webstat site and read up on the utility.
Hope that helps

Dale, you are my hero. I logged into site and looked in the htdocs and there was the webstats folder! I guess I was looking for the word stats, but it is working for me now. (Well, I guess it was always working I was just looking in the wrong place.)
Again, thanks bunches!
Webstats run at midnight daily, so it may be up to 24 hours until you are able to view them for the first time.
My webstats haven't been updated for nearly a week, and a friend of mine has NEVER had her stats generated or her log files zipped up. Any ideas what's going on?
