View Full Version : Can't recieve Hotmail email
just recently set up my account andkeep getting this error: Reporting-MTA: dns;hotmail.com
Arrival-Date: Wed, 23 Jan 2002 10:39:30 -0800
Diagnostic-Code: smtp;550 5.7.1 <firstname.lastname@example.org>... Relaying denied
is my set up incorrect?
"Relaying denied" (error 550) means that a mail server (MTA) somewhere has denied you the use of that server for transporting your e-mail because you appear to be using that MTA as a relaying host.
This is an anti-spam measure.
You receive hotmail at hotmail.com. You receive your powweb mail at powweb. I guess I don't really understand the question.
when i go to hotmail.com and try to send en email to my powweb based email account i get the error i described above.
in that i use different email accounts for different purposes i sometimes need to forward from my hotmail account to my powweb account and now i'm not able to do that.
i was able to do this before changing from the server that originally hosted my domain name to the powweb server
thanks for responding
You have a hotmail problem. Why don't you ask hotmail about this?
I apologize ... it could be that Hotmail did not have a problem.
