I used to fear using image maps, but it usually works fine with most.. IE, Netscape, Opera. ;)
I say screw the ONE person who wont be able to see it. Anyone using Netscape 1.0 or something deserves NOT to see it :D :D

You mean creating the image maps?
I sure hope you have a program like Dreamweaver to do all your pages in... right?

96.4% of the InterNet uses NetScape6.2+ or IE5+. Both of these browser ranges render image maps correctly. If you want to worry the other 3.6% of the browsers you will have to get a Opera lite/free and NetScape 4.x. Anything older is up to additional research on your own. Multiple NetScape generations, can you say .9, can be found at:

So, I'd just image map away. In fact I once conducted a nation wide email sales campaign using image maps when I knew NetScape 4.x did not render them correctly.
