Free alternative photos for Web Design

Hi everyone.

I mentioned this way back when Powweb first started this excellent forum service, and I thought I'd stick it in again.

I've put about 1700 digital photos online, and I'm inviting all you amateur (and pro) web designers to consider them for use as random image fodder in your web designs.

The photos are all taken in my home city (dublin, ireland) and feature pretty common stuff. They might come in handy for random images and stuff, they might not. You'll know whether they're for you after a minute ot two. I stress that they are slightly "alternative", so you might hate them all.

So come along to my photos section. I recommend the "blurred", "shops", "misc" and "composites" sub sections for random weirdness. But have a root around. I also have a synth section if you're into that kind of thing.

Hey there Benny

The "usage" guidelines are explained fully in my "use a photo" section, but if your english is not that good, it's probably very complicated.

The short answers are:

non profit site - yes, you can use the photos. But please give me a link if you can (and please copy the files to your own server). I'd also really like to see the end result, so feel free to mail me a URL to your finished work. I'll probably give you a link back as well (helps with them search engines, as I'm fully googled).

big money making site - probably still yes, but I'd like to know their exact use. If you're microsoft I'm gonna bill you!!!

Its a more oe less non profit site, i worked the last year alone on a full databased CMSd user interface for an city portal.... in PHP
more then 300 PHP files and lots of user options, ok the clubs have to pay, but i spend a lot of time and money in it..
Unforcently i gonna change powweb to... because the necessary of the path to PHP in almost every file makes me angry/....
However when the site is only, i will send you an link, but i only will use them as decoration, ok here its very late and i have to go sleep,
and sure i will send you the link, and if you have bandwith problems, i have enough space and traffic... So give me a mail...

Very useable and wonderful photos... I'm looking to redesign my site and these photos may help quite a bit. And even though my site is there with the possibility to make me money, I'd consider it non-profit.. lmao.. has been fairly non-profit for me so far. :p

Glad you liked the images!!! Non profit and virtually non-profit are pretty much the same thing to me. So I hope the images come in handy, and good luck with the redesign!!!
