Redirect ?

Is it possible to use "redirect" to direct traffic from a domain that you do not own? If it is, it can't be legal and how is this possible?

no...redirect placed in the htaccess works when it is found in the same space where your site is hosted.

FTP password only can give you this access.

Some companies redirect by you point the domains DNS info to their nameservers...then they forward it one to your site.

But in powweb's case, the only thing you can have pointing to your site is a domain. So redirection is impossible unless you have 2 domains.
