If I set up a domain name with domain direct yet want to host with pow web why must I wait sixty days? I don't understand this.
I thought I bought the domain name yet they put these restrictions on the account- WHY?
Is it because of fraud? Can you please explain?
Domaindirect is just your Registrar. You don't need to change your Registrar to host at Powweb.
On Domaindirect's page, instead of "Transfer your Domain" (which would be changing registrars) choose "Manage your account," which should include a place where you can change your DNS servers.
You do have to stay with your Registrar for 60 days, but you can change your authoritative nameservers any time you want to.

once you change you DNS info... it will take about 72 hours... for it to pick up across the internet...
You just can't change registrars ... for 60 days....
but there's really no need to change registrars... unless you just want to keep all of your stuff together...
When you registered you Domain Name, you should have gotten some kind of Account administrator... info from the Registrar...
that's where you'll have to change the DNS info....to:
