You can create an email address by that name. Just make sure and name the POP box something else. Webmaster is probably already taken on your mail server. Give this a try and see if it solves your problem.
when i use a different username it does work thanks. But can someone tell me exactly how the username "webmaster" can be taken inthis newly created account?

There can only be one POP user name per email server. That user name has nothing to do with the email address, just the name that's used to login to that POP account.

doesn't powweb also automatically create webmaster & admin @ your domain dot whatever?

No...powweb only sets up the default catch-all account. You have to setup any 'real' addresses.
Zee,
Just to "hopefully" clarify for you. You can have webmaster@yourdomain.com and use a different name for the "user name".
The "user name" is only used to log into the webmaster email account, it does not have to be the same as the email address. User names have to be unique to the email server, whereas the actual email address can be anything@yourdomain.com.
Just setup your "webmaster" email account and use something unique for the user name. Then when you setup your email client for checking the "webmaster" email account, use the username and password that you created.

just for my "2 cents"...
I hate how your username and actual email name are considered 2 different things... sort of annoying.
For more help you can check the tutorials at help.powweb.com
This tends to be very confusing when you first read the tutorials.
Could you make an example using a name, say, John Doee with a web site named wxyz3.com and a user name of alpha2x? This would let people actually see what the tutorial is talking about and might clear up the headaches.
Just a thought.
Thanks,
Rancher
