Inspiration

I want to build up a portfolio of original graphics so I have something to show future potential clients. I have the technical ability, I just lack creativity. I'm wondering, where do you get your inspiration?

Are you organized and focused. Why do you want a folio and for what purposes will your folio serve. Then what content, images, text, examples, references will serve your purpose and where can you get these things. But being organized with a plan is a good place to start until struck by inspiration. You know that old saying might be 90% perspiration and 10% inspiration but if you don't want to sweat it get organized.

1 thing I've learned from doing graphics is 'Its a building process'....when you start you might have something in mind but dont have the right images to work with......But keep building anyways........I make my backgrounds soft,maybe a medium middle ground,then top it off with a strong foreground.Background & foreground shouldn't compete...1 light/1 heavy..And color schemes (Just like web design) is also important....I mostly do CD-Covers and logos when do my thang.....I put on that new Tupac yesterday morning and wondered to myself is Big & Pac still rocking mics in Hell/Heaven.......Well,I came up with a nice lil piece (Haven't oploaded it yet)...Sometimes you never know what you're gonna come up with..But still...Keep at it.............

What is that......mine stuff just come out of the blue most of the time. Right now there is no inspiration...just necessity to survive.
