What on earth for?

If you look at some of the work of the World's best photographers, they are B&W prints.

Greyscale has so many subtle nuances that cannot be transmitted so effectively in colour prints.

If you wish to colourise an original B&W print, the only thing I would dream of using would be a sepia tint to embellish it slightly, should I feel the need.

have you lost your sense of humor. I expect nothing from the British and I'm never disappointed. Your a kind sensitive person so I suspect your really not British.

P.S.
Your new avatar is great! Very colonial and very British. You might be British after all.

If you believe that.............

Just don't bend over to investigate what's under the Christmas Tree on the 25th, because you just might get shafted by the Christmas Fairy!

ROFLMAO

Note: In the U.K. the word 'Fairy' has an entirely different meaning to that which you may be thinking ;)

version of the "word":

But your right. My version of a fairy usually uses the back door.

sorry BHD had to work on a client's network to earn some wonga to feep the christmas fairies happy

i have been a bit busy getting w2k set up and running on their n/w i just haven't had much time spare to continue with the DA thread, i would have thought you had enough of that one...no of course not why quit now just when i'm starting to enjoy it

so ok i shall raise that thread from the dead

hey muijefr, does you racism extend from the end of your backyard or is it just the brits that you fear ( all racsism is born out of fear- quick to anger, slow to understand, ignorance and predjudice and fear go hand in hand)

oh i forgot, you also hate the mexicans, according to some of your earlier posts you are expecting an imminet invasion are you not ?

then you don't have to give me a free copy of your BlackMagic in exchange for a link. You seem to be an expert on all the above mentioned belief systems so I have no choice but accept your judgement. You seem so well versed in quick to anger, slow to understand, ignorance and predjudice. But then I'm not the expert here.

Just because the S/W CAN colorize b/w images it does not mean that i suggest everyone rushes out and does so to all and every b/w image.

Of course there are many images that were designed for b/w and some that just look better in b/w however what this s/w does is give you the choice to colour (color) or not

A good use if have found is for old family pics that were only done in b/w because that is the only format that was available, i have coloured these and given them to my family and they are well happy.

Seeing family pics in color when the ONLY versions anyone has are b/w has really amazed the family( and even got some quite emotional !!) and if i have managed that then..well it's got to be good

Saying that i have some old photos from the 30's that actually look better in b/w as it gives them( in my opinion) a sort of charm, however my family were still keen to have these in colour as that is how they remembered these people
