Hi All,

Is there any possibility of controlling the physical download of .mp3 files?

I have some on my site, and welcome callers to listen to them .... however, the actual file then ends up in their

\documents and settings\username\local settings\temporary internet files\

folder. Thus, they have a physical copy of the .mp3 (and everything else from the site!)

What - if anything - can be done to simply stream the mp3, but not have it end up on every listener's drive?

Thanks so very much,

Steve

I dont think you can do what you want. At least not on a Windows OS and IE browser. In order for the sound to be played, it has to go into a temporary cache file inside your Windows directory, and from there it is streamed. It has to exist in cache in some form before it will play.

If I am wrong, I am sure someone will correct Me here.
