Limit Size of Email Messages Recieved ??

Can you tell me the limit for the size of an email with photo attached that can be recieved thru Powweb Mail ???

Someone has been trying to send me 3 digital photos and for some strange reason they keep getting bounced back to him.

I have had no problems with recieving emails with photos attached until now. I did a test run and was successful send a photo attached to an email OK.

Not sure what the problem is ????

My friend tried to send 3 photos attached to one email...each pic was under 500kb. The email kept being bounced back to him over two days until he broke them down to one pic per email and was successful sending them to me.

I have had others send several photos attached to one email to me successfully until now.

I only recieve/read at the most 3 emails per day, text only. Why would I be having a problem if the email was well below the 5 mb limit ??? I use Microsoft Outlook 2000

It's not likely that it is your Outlook, the emails would be bounced before they ever got to your computer.

You might want to have your friend check the return message / header and see just who bounced the emails. It's possible that they were bounced at ISP, before they were ever sent to your account. His ISP may have a 500k limit on email attachments.

Try going into your email account via webmail & see if there is any old mail sitting there. I had one account that gave me the same problem and I found the box had a ton of really old messages in there using up space even though the newer ones were being deleated from the server correctly. Don't know why that happened since my email client was set to delete mail from the server. After cleaning out the box all was good.
