after ftp'ing

question, when I connect to the ftp site there are two folder, one with a period after it and one with two periods after it. Where do I transfer my files to?

Neither one.

When your package is setup you will have 3 folders.
cgi-bin>scripts
htdocs>viewable files (really most everything)
logs>log files

these folders do not always appear as oon as you have set up an account, they may take a while to "get in place" and once there you need to put your files in htdocs

thanks. It's been a few hours and I still only have the two folders. Is this typical? Should I show patience or seek help?
