accessing mySQL database from other site

This might be a dumb question. I am about to order mySQL for my site, but I was wondering if any of the other sites that I have would be able to access/refer to or make use of at all the mySQL database that would be on my main site? Or would I need to order mySQL for each site?

Youll be able to access your database from any site. I know this because I have helped people with their databases, and access theirs from MY site.
