save password?!?

Perhaps this is an EXTREMELY stupid question, but I am beginning to get fairly annoyed.

OS Windows XP
Software - Office and XP apps.

Problem:
When I click the save password box, nothing ever gets saved. Everytime I start up the Outlook program, I have to enter the passwords for the 10 e-mail accounts... Everytime I visit my FTP site, i have to enter the password....

EVEN THOUGH I'VE DONE IT 40+ times, each time checking the SAVE PASSWORD button.

I don't remember telling XP to not save passwords. Perhaps that is the case. If anyone can help out with my problem, that would be sweet. I would owe you my firstborn.

Have you checked the MS knowledge base? ;)

You were dead on... Or at least you were dead on the point to the Microsoft Knowledge Base.

Worked well, but frustrating nevertheless. The I.S. guy at work tried the same thing, but was unsuccessful, I think he did it to the wrong user! Tee Hee.

Now I may use this system so much more efficiently than spending the 5 minutes to log into all of my accounts.
