webstats question

I have a questions about web stats. Which number would you suggest looking at for just a general consensus of how many people are comming to my website?

The two things I am most interested in are "Total Visits," (these are essentially browser sessions spent inside your site) and "Total Unique Sites," which is the number of different individuals who participated in these sessions. If you have only 2 or three unique sites visiting you, then you only have 1 or 2 fans.

I didn't quite understand what this means. Could you explain?

If I visit your site 50 times today, your Webstats will show 50 more visits in the "Total Visits" category but will only add one to the "Total Uniques Sites" because my IP addy is the same for each visit.
