You guys your speed is absolutely fantastic. However! I can't go past 5.95MB space. lol

here's what my ftp kicks out.

COMMAND:> STOR admin.php
STATUS:> Connecting ftp data socket 63.251.216.52:57707...
553 Can't open that file: Disc quota exceeded
ERROR:> Access denied.

I can upload and rewrite/delete etc (& at amazing speed) but can't get past 5.95MB. Quite far from the 500MB available.

Can you guys kick this to the admins? I tried email, but no answer. :(

sometimes this does work faster. :p

*cheers*

JD -- We had the same problem too on ftp02, but they fixed it within the day. :)

Good Luck.

Are you also located on www01 and MySQL01 also (new architecture for us). ?

What is fastest method of uploading a *.sql backup database?

remote? or server-side?

I have been doing remote (client), but very slow.

Is ftp02 what they're using for new packages now?

Tis one of them used for "FTP" transfers (also see a ftp01 out there too). Also www01, ... , and mysql01, ... , used in the suite of new servers.

Yeah, I assumed it was a part of this (http://www.powweb.com/architecture/).

I would think that the remote would be only as slow as your connection, With remote updates you are tied to the mysql server if you did this on site such with phpadmin and I am not sure but if you have a large back up you risk a time out from PHP or the site I feel that remote is the best route to take
