I signed up for a new hosting account yesterday. My domain (saybrooke.org) is registered elsewhere, but I have changed the DNS settings to the two PowWeb machines, and the change seems to have propagated. I have accessed my space via ftp to upload the content using orion.powweb.com. I put everything in the htdocs directory.
http://saybrookeorg.powweb.com works fine, but http://saybrooke.org in my web browser doesn't work. Neither does http://www.saybrooke.org.
Have I done something wrong? Is there anybody else out there with a similar problem that they overcame?
Ken
P.S. The reason that I think the DNS change has propagated is that the content on my old host is no longer visible, and whois queries all result in the correct PowWeb machines listed for primary and secondary DNS. However, it's only been about 15 hours. Thoughts?
