Any word on what the problem with Comet is? It's still very slow at times for me. I know there was some talk a few days ago about it, but I hadn't heard anything since then. Any ETA on the time to fix it?

I thought the problem was taken care of but I just noticed that my site is a bit slow, it was fine about 3 hours ago.

its very unstable. At times its blazing fast and at other times it slows to a crawl, sometimes even timing out - and all this from a T1 connection *sigh*. I wonder what the problem is, hope the tech guys get it solved soon.

Yes, it's approaching a full week now since this all started. A few days I can see, but a week? I'm a very patient person, but I'm beginning to get frustrated.

If Comet needs to be rebuilt to get rid of the problems. I'd rather take the hit of the downtime and get it done.

I'm only running a small web based forum but with performance like comet's, people will just go elsewhere. I've got loads of competition out there, who will quite happily take

I've put a lot of effort into my site for no financial return and I'd hate to see the efforts of myself and the others who help me go to waste, just because the site fails because of poor server connection times.

I'd be worried about losing any stuff on a server rebuild but if there's a bit of notice, we can try and get some backups done as security.

I just moved a domain to powweb a few days ago. http://www.vmx-racing.com Since then the performance of the servers has been sporadic to say the least. Somtimes it's slow, somtimes it's totally inoperable. I was pointed by a friend to this thread and am sort of suprised at the total lack of any kind of response to the assorted questions about comet's lackluster performance.

I use the index page of my site as my home page, and even though it should all be saved locally and in my cache, it takes an agonizingly long time for the page to load. My forums are even worse. 98% uptime........is this considered uptime, LOL.

Please let us know whats going on ?

Thanks, Rev

Comet has been getting progressively worse for nearly 6 months now. I've noticed my site hit totals going down recently as the problems get worse, which is also affecting our online sales... I've got management screaming from both sides for me to move the site to a UK Host... I've got forum users bombarding me with e-mails wanting to know why they can't get into their favourite hang-out place... c'mon powweb... sort it out!!

If Comet was a horse, it would have been shot about four times by now. :(
