Server names

I see many posts referring to servers by name, such as comet or orion, etc. My sites that I recently setup here tell me they are on www03.powweb.com and www05.powweb.com. Are there 2 sets of servers or do these have names that I just don't know how to find?

PS. This forum is great - I have lurked around for a week and love it!

All new sites are on the new archectecture. www01.powweb.com/www05.powweb.com The older servers were all named with celestial bodies,,comet,pulsar,venus etc.

All sites will be migrated to the new system at some point.

Now quit lurking and start posting.:D

When the older sites are migrates, will that include the SQL databases? And will the old paths still work or will we have to edit our scripts to reflect the new address?

Not a huge edit, but it is good to know ahead of time.

I moved one of my sites I did not need to change anything.

I suppose in your case it would be even better since I don;t think you will actually move but just re-integrated.

I would wait and see what happens. Always keep a 'fresh' backup!

I was more wondering since it will require me to edit 4 config files to get to the SQL server again. Not a huge deal for me, but for somebody with a very buisy site and a lot of scripts it would mean extra downtime.
