Help please

Here is a question, that will surely tell everyone Im new to this. I want to know if before i can Open my web site, if i have to create a script and place it in the cgi-bin to recognise my site.?

I bought a Host, and a domain name, which is www.homesedona.com Yesterday, within Powweb's member section , it shows that the site is activated, and that the domain name is registered.... but I can't bet the site to open at all ...

Heres what i did... I put the main page ..index.html in after clicking on htdocs. then i loaded each folder within the htdoc... but Nothing is working.... what do i do to correct this problem... would be most appreciated for quick answers to this... thanks... Sray

If you goto your temporary URL - http://homesedonacom.powweb.com/ - you'll see your website. If you registered it yesterday, it'll take a day or two for the 'real' domain name to make its way through the caches on the internet.

You don;t need to do anything else but wait. Until http://www.homesedona.com/ is visable, you can use the temporary domain name to test your site (Powweb deactivates the temporary domain in about 30 days).

I clicked on that link you put on the reply of my first post, and the site opened right up..lol.. and here most of the day i was trying that temporary site url, but putting a period in the com part....

but to be sure then I don't have to write up any script to place inside the cgi-bin folder, for my site to work? if not then all i have to do is wait as you stated in your reply? ... again thank you, its great there are brains out there, mine is not to great..lol... thanks sray
