Wasn't there somewhere around here that explained autoresponders maybe a year ago, or are they even available directly from Powweb? Never needed one until now. Can use a script if need be, but a basic autoresponder would be nice.
To the best of my knowledge, that is something not offered by Powweb. This thread says it all pretty well, I think:

I dont know if you are looking for a vacation message or a response to general emails that find their way to your website's pop account........or if you just want a response to a form. If it is the latter, I use several scripts that autorespond to various submissions by site visitors. I would be glad to help more if I can, and if it a form script that you are after.

Thanks for the info. I'm just looking to set up a pop account, post that address on a site, and when mail is received at that address, send off the yadda..yadda..
If you know anything offhand feel free to post it, I'm sure others would be interested as well.
Thanks..

I have a pretty basic script that does want you want.
It uses cron to check the inbox periodically and then responds and deletes the email.
Email me and I will email it to you.

Hi Dave
I found this script on hotscripts.com. It seems rather simple, but I dont know enough about Perl to say so.

I really dont have the technical knowhow to tell if this can be configured on Powweb or not. It seems like all it needs is the path to Perl and a little command line magic ( phpshell will give you that), but I have not tried to make it work. Maybe you have the time to play with it.
Halfabee, maybe you have the time to take a look at this one? If it is configurable here, it will help a lot of people.
Thanks

I think it is documented enough to make it run.
If you have any problems just post here.
