View Full Version : DNS Question
I am a new member and have just changed the DNS info to...........
NS3.POWWEB.COM
NS2.POWWEB.COM
My question is:
Should I have also added the #'s in (eg: 63.251.213.33 and 207.212.16.4)
or will it be ok to leave it with just the NS3/2 information?
Have a nice day.

Hi ainso.....welcome to the forum
You should be just fine....How do I know?....I already get your "permanent" domain name with the powweb default setup page. You may not be, but if you are not, it won't be long.
This is Great news. Thanks for the information.
Ainso :D
Most registrars do their own IP lookup on the name servers you provide, so ns3.powweb.com and ns2.powweb.com should be sufficient.

My registrar says to NOT use the numeric IP addresses, as they won't work! Not sure why, but...
I am very happy to report that all is well. My site is now up & running using just ..."ns3.powweb.com and ns2.powweb.com" for the DNS.
I am really impressed how easy everything is to use on the PowWeb Site. I have other sites that I will transfer to PowWeb in the near future. Thanks for the swift replies to my question, and good luck with your own web sites.
Talk to you soon. Have a great day.
Ainso :)
