I have a screensaver on my site that I invite my visitors to download.
The download works just fine. My problem is that some of my users are using a virus scan against the screensaver file itself prior to download. And they are telling me that it's asking for a password that is attached to the file. This is puzzling because I did not password protect that file (the screensaver file) and I did make the permissions on it 755. Does anyone know if there is some form of default password that gets attached to ".exe" files? Or is there something else that I need to do to allow virus scan to read the screensaver file prior to download?

Thank you!

Is the reference by http or ftp?

Sorry about that. I should have mentioned that the screensaver file is emailed to the visitor as an email attachment.

Well, now I'm really confused. If it's an e-mail attachment, it's not being downloaded from your site. Exactly how is it sent? Do you have it in a ZIP file? Sometimes if a ZIP file is corrupted, you'll get a bogus prompt for a password.
