I have been wondering about the changes to email on powwebs servers in the future.
In looking at the announcements, you mentioned that formmail scripts will only be able to send emails to domains hosted by powweb.
I dont know how you would do that without doing thae same for ANY email sent using sendmail. In that case, my scripts will not work.
I have a script activated by cron that goes thru my database at certain times and sends update emails to my customers. To do this I am using sendmail.
Will this be broken in the future? Although I understand and live with the 1000 per day limit.
Also, is smarthosting an option thru powweb?
Personally I dont use formmail so if the change is only with the use of that script then it wont affect me at all.
I guess my question is... if there are going to be total restrictions on using sendmail what other methods will we have available to send emails from our websites.
