new site uploaded - when do I see it?

I finished uploading all my files through the WS_FTP yesterday and was expecting to be able to visit my URL and see that the site is up, but here it is the next day and when I type in my URL I'm still being sent to the under construction page I had when I was first registered. As far as I know everything is as it should be, so why can't I see my site yet? Sorry, newbie here, do I need to include any specific information or are the admins/moderators privy to these when I log in?

If you are seeing the powweb under construction page.. something is wrong.

Did you upload your files to htdocs?
Did you overwrite the index.html page that was in the directory?

If yes to both.. what is your URL.. and what are the names of a couple other pages you have there?

As said above, make sure you just have one file named "index" or "default" in the htdocs folder. Most likely your's is named index.html and the "under construction" index.htm is being picked up.

Yeah, that's what the problem was. I had my index file named something else - fixed the problem and now I see it fine! Only problem is I didn't put my images in an images subfolder so they don't show up, but I can fix that. Thanks for the quick responses!
