I have a domain name registered through GoDaddy and this morning I had changed the DNS to PowWeb's. How long would it take for the domain name to point to the files I have now on PowWeb?

It depends. First, how soon will GoDaddy update their own DNS tables. Some registrars do that once a day. After that, you can expect to wait up to 72 hours for most of the Internet to know about the new location - some users may see the definition in hours, others several days or more.

I'm going through the same thing right now. I changed my nameservers on Thursday. Some people were able to get to the site here on Powweb yesterday. I myself was able to get to my site here on Powweb this morning. Now this afternoon, I cannot. So hopefully Comcast will update their tables by Monday. They are notoriously slow.

You can expect some DNS instability for up to a week after making changes. Some ISPs cache entries longer than they should, and it can be the "luck of the draw" as to which server you hit.

One thing you can try is to try accessing some variant of your server, such as xyz.yourdomain.com This will tend to NOT be in the ISP's cache and should resolve through PowWeb.
