DB help

I have a phpbb forum,
it was working fine, untill about 2 hours ago,
I logged on to the powweb OPS and noticed that the MYsql has been upgraded to version 4 . is that my problem? and if so what would I have to do to change that on my forum?

i also have phpBB2 forum and i have been getting this error the last couple hours "phpBB : Critical Error

Could not connect to the database "

And when i go to OPs and to services and under mySQL it says "" this package services have been modified and the changes are waiting to be made on poWeb's servers""
what does that mean?

mysql01 is having problems at this time....admins are aware and working on it.
