View Full Version : Problem with my Mysql Database
If you go to my site at www.advancedgamers.com/vbulletin you will see the error message. What caused this and how can I fix it?

You may have to do "REPAIR TABLE tablename" on one of your VB tables.
It would make it easier if it told you which one.
Do this in phpmyadmin or mysql-front or similar progs.

I am still relatively new at this website stuff so could you walk me through how I would do that? I dont have any of those programs you mentioned.

If you have a PC get a copy of mysql-front (1mb download)
http://mysqlfront.sstienemann.de/
Set your DB details in and when it opens select tools->Table-diagnostics.
You can check and repair you tables here.

ok I did that, but when I went to Tools>Table-Diagnostics the list was empty.
EDIT: I clicked on analyze even though I didnt have any tables on the list and this is what came up:
1064 - You have an error in your SQL syntax. Check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near '' at line 1
I have no idea what manual it is talking about, so how would I fix this?

Make sure you click on your DB in the left pane first, then try again.

I had put the name of my database in wrong (put a space where there shouldnt of been one) so that is why nothing showed up.
Thank you very much for your help, it is working now.
