htdocs?

I thought I was almost done.... no such luck.
I can't get all of my permissions set when I put my non-cgi folders under the "htdocs" folder. Can't I just make a directory from the root or do I need to use the htdocs for this? What is the htdocs folder anyways? I've never seen it before.

If I have to use the htdocs folder, what should I set the permissions at? I have sub folders and files with every variation under it.

the htdocs folder is your root for the domain. www.yourdomain.com points to the htdocs folder. So your default page would be the index.htm page in that folder.

as for your permissions . . . you do not give enough information to help with whatever problem you are having.

These permissions ARE set properly to 777 as directed in the manual. They worked just fine on my previous server.

When I created a folder outside of the htdocs I didn't have the permissions problem but I had others because of the script and I don't have any idea how to alter the script.

This is driving me NUTS!

If you're interested in trying yourself, e-mail me and I'll send you the FTP info and password. I can also send you the readme with the set-up instructions. How's that for trust! Or is it just true DESPIRATION?
