Just logged in to mail01.powweb.com, no problem.

Which mail server are you on?

i just received a complaint from a user about the same thing. what I have discovered is that the minimum password length has been changed. it now must be 6 characters. this user had a 5 character password that used to work fine. the minimum has been changed to 6. suddenly the user could not log in. i assume that is the reason, since after i changed the password to a longer one everything was fine. so . . . it appears users with shorter passwords got locked out with no warning. :(

not sure when this change happened as this user had not logged in for several days. that may or may not be your problem.

I was under the impression that mail3 was going to be down at some point this weekend for service. Are you on mail3?

Quote from recent email:
"We would like to inform you ahead of time that we will be doing a
scheduled maintenance on our mail server (mail3.powweb.com) this Sunday, April 6th, 2003 at approximately 8:00pm PST."

I log in fine p/word more than 6 characters though...

I logged in through the link on the main page just fine..however, if I create an e-mail address on my webaccount, can I access it via e-mail? The reason Im asking is because the site is for a church group and I want to be able to give out e-mail addresses and I want for people to have the option to access their account on webmail. Is it possible for me to access one of the e-mail accounts I created on my webpage account?

For each person you will need to create a POP user. This user name must be unique to the powweb server, so any name you may want will likely be taken. Mike may have to be mikejones10 (for example) or what ever you can get.

Then you make the SMTP email address anything@yourdomain.com and link that email address to mikejones10. This email address is really what matters anyway - and it can be anything you want on your domain.

Then thorugh webmail they sign on with mikejones10 in order to get mail access for anything@yourdomain.com.
