Hi,

Am currently using Powweb for 2 small companies and am currently very satisfied (although December's downtime due to DNS jiggling was a disaster).

Anyways, I'm wanting to launch a new company whose website will be fairly resource intensive and was wondering if anything prevents me using one of my current accounts to test with before buying a new package. I may need a dedicated solution, but wouldn't want to overkill if I can get away with Powweb - at least for the beginning...

I thought I remember seeing something preventing me doing that in the Terms of Service (not allowed to use service for anything but main company website or something) but can't find anything now - have they changed recently? Can I host multiple sites and services using one Powweb account?

I wouldn't want to place my other accounts in danger because they are an important source of income to me.

Any feedback welcome...

You can pay $25 to have a second domain pointing to your main domain.
You just need a .htaccess to make it work.
Its in a tutorial at http://help.powweb.com

I think what you saw was a clause that said you can't resell hosting service. I don't see a problem with sharing your existing package for your own use in a second domain - and many of us do that already.

Thanks for your responses, guess I'll go ahead with that then...

If I'd known that was possible before, I could have saved myself the second account - both are only fairly low-traffic web-shops anyway...

Thanx again!
