HI,

Im a new customer and Im really happy with PowWeb services. Im about to make a bussines web site and I'll use SSL to make some transactions from this site, but the SSL url really dissapoint me, I though I would have an https://mysite.com URL like other hosting companies do. It's very ugly though for a bussines to use a strange URL.

I know I can use frames to clock it, but the URL will be powweb.com anyway. Can PowWeb do something about this? Maybe change the way SSL url works to use my own domain?

What about ftp? Will I have a ftp.mysite.com url? (I said "will" because my domain isn't activated yet, I'm wating my 24-48 hours period untill its working)

PowWeb is working on a way for you to use SSL with your own domain. But I think you will be required to purchase the security certificate yourself, otherwise users will get warnings about a domain mismatch.

You can have ftp.yourdomain.com - using subdomains if nothing else - but keep in mind that PowWeb does not offer anonymous FTP so the usefulness of this is limited.

My domain is working just fine now, but I can't connet to my ftp using ftp.mydomain.com. At first the host is resolved, then the server disconnect me. Whats wrong? Do I have to do some config or what?

Check in ops to see what your ftp server is.

If it is ftp01.powweb.com you can't use ftp.mysite.com.

Gosh, that sucks. Can't PowWeb do something about it? I would really appreciate to use my first owned domain name with my ftp server!

I don't see why you can't add a CNAME record to your DNS settings for this. Or just use ftp://www.yourdomain.com/ - that works.

stevel, can you please tell me how do I add a CNAME to use ftp.mydomain.com instead of ftp01.powweb.com ?
