Hi,
I am a teacher at an English school in Japan. I've started a website my students can use outside of class. It is still in progress, but I'm having trouble with one of my goals. I want to have an image (i.e. an animated GIF of a bird), and when the student clicks that image, it audibly says what it is (my voice saying "bird"). I know how to record myself to .wav, and how to link web pages to an image, but how do I make the audio happen when the image is clicked?

You might consider doing it with Flash. An easy program for creating something like that would be Swish, a Flash substitute. It will create an 'action' that takes place either when they click on the bird, or mouseover it. And, you could make the bird disappear and another creature come up after the bird chirps or whatever.

Sim amhome blurchy,

Put this together in a matter of minutes. Just an example of what the Swish program is capable of.

Animated gif, some text motion and sound
