View Full Version : Forum was busy?
I just tried the forum a few minutes ago, and got the "forum is busy, try again later" message.... I wonder if it was a result of mysql limitation?

That means the processor of the server went to little peak...
More than 10,000 users on this forums, not easy ya'know...
10,000 users on the PowWeb Forums? How come the PowWeb Community Forums Main Index says that the most ever online was 202?

It's possible it could've hit the mySQL qouta limits.

Consider this:
40 users at every 5 minutes +
5-40 posts a day (prob. 100's) +
User directory +
All the posts +
Analysing what posts you havn't seen +
Completing those 40 users query's +
The load on the main server =
CPU Time Peaks.
This is unstopable when theese forums are sooo popular!
Think about it!

Then the server goes...."help me, help me!"
FYI: In the Vbulletin options it will turn itself off when it uses a certain amount of resources (which the admin specifies in the vbAdmin Panel) This has nothing to do with MySql limitations. I have mine set to the default of 5%. I have never maxed out, but my board isn't as popular either.
I should have put a smiley or two in my post.... was meant as a little bit of humor. Ok.. so it wasnt all that funny.
